For many people, getting a student visa in Canada is a top priority because of the numerous job opportunities available to immigrants in the country.

Canada has been crowned the world’s most educated country. It is home to top universities and colleges and has also been accredited with the best public education. McGill university, University of British Columbia, the university of Toronto to name a few are ranked as the top 100 institutes in the world.

Students should expect a processing period of fewer than 45 days for an SDS category, also known as student direct stream, as opposed to 60 days for a non SDS category. Requirements for SDS Canada for an expedited study visa are:

  • Letter of acceptance from a Canadian Designated Learning Institution.
  • The DLI has sent you an official letter verifying payment of your first-year tuition costs.
  • The medical examination report that is necessary.
  • Either confirmation of high school graduation in Canada or an IELTS language exam with a minimum score of 6 in each area.

 

In addition, there are a few key considerations to keep in mind when applying for a student visa in Canada.
